C02 Emissions

C02 Emissions

CO₂ is vitally important when it comes to Fleet Cars as the value has implications in the following areas:

  • Corporation Tax
  • Income tax
  • National Insurance

Questions you may ask:

  • How much C02 does my vehicle produce?
  • How can I find the Co2 for a car I am wanting to Buy?
  • Where can I get Co2 rates for a used car?

How does it work?

The Vehicle Certification Agency is part of the Government and is responsible for detailing fuel and emission rates which determines the VED you should pay.

The HMRC is responsible for BIK purposes and the taxable BIK you pay dependent on your emissions.
