Vehicle Insurance Checker
So are your Fleet vehicles insured. There is a simple way to check.
Questions you may ask:
- How do I check my vehicles are insured?
- What if the vehicle information is not right on the insurance?
- Who is responsible for updating the central insurance database?
- Do I have to add all vehicles?
- When should vehicles be removed?
How does it work?
The MID (Motor Insurance Database) is the central store of all vehicle insurance polices and is what the police and the authorities use to check your vehicle.
If you or any of your drivers are involved in an accident you can simply access the site from your mobile phone to check any other party is appropriately insured.
If one of your vehicles isnt on the MID then you risk being stopped by the police as their ANPR tool is constantly scanning for uninsured vehicles.
You can find the Motor Insurance Database (MID) Checker tool : Ask Mid
